Yesterday, I celebrated my very first group breath Yesterday, I celebrated my very first group breathwork event! Thank you to those who were able to be present and for those with the intention. Hold on to the way you heal! Especially during a Hold on to the way you heal! 

Especially during a time when things appear and feel so chaotic to your nervous system. 

It is uncomfortable, but deep in that discomfort is understanding that it is okay to stay there for a bit until you get what you need. 

Maybe it is the unanswered prayer of peace that you build through the chaos. 

We believe we are supposed to get over it! Get through it! 

No, we are to go through the "it" the "ick" so we can grow through it.

The benefit of bathing in the dark is that it rese The benefit of bathing in the dark is that it resets your nervous system!

MAIN  INGREDIENTS:

~Quiet time: I usually do this after the kids have settled down or are sleep. Early in the morning or late at night works best for me, but you choose.

~Ability to be in the dark.

~Water temperature adjusted to your liking.

~Quieting the noise in your brain.

~Time to relax and/or reflect after your bath if you want.

ADDITIONAL IDEAS:

~ Meditating such as breathing.

~Essential oil of your preference: I love lavendar and rose, but I also use tea tree oil if I am having any inflammation.

~Candles for esthetic or if you are not totally comfortable with being in the dark.

~Music that is calming.

~Setting an intention for your bath.

-Journaling 

~Anything else you need to make your bathing experience unique to you.
There are several benefits of breathwork; physical There are several benefits of breathwork; physically, mentally,  emotionally, and spiritually. 💪🏽🧠🫩🧿

Physical benefits are reduction and/or elimination of pain in the body.

Mental benefits help the client to breathe through the  pain in the body that medical professionals have not been able to attribute to a medical diagnosis; which also helps to calm the mind.

Emotional benefits are obtaining awareness of mood changes, the root of the emotions, and the ability to breathe through these emotions to regulate mood.

Spiritual benefits, from my own experience as both  a facilitator and client, are opening up more around my own spiritual gifts and learning how to support others to gain a sense of awareness to work through their own lense of spirituality.

Important Reminder: Breathwork does not take the place of professional diagnosis orntreatment, so please seek support when needed.; especially if there is any history of untreated mental health or medical, recent injuries,  if you have a peace maker, history of seizures, and/or pregnant.

Be Gentle with Yourself! Remember that telling so Be Gentle with Yourself!

Remember that telling someone that "you have to love yourself first before you can love someone else" comes from the best intention for those privileged enough to be raised with love vs. survival. This concept is difficult to reach for some.

For someone raised in survival, loving yourself can be like learning another language for the first time. Speaking as someone raised in survival vs. love and raised through trauma, I learned how to overplay my part in other people's lives and over value my attachment to others; labeling it a connection. 

Only through my own experiences of moments of needing to love myself more have I learned that loving myself is not like cutting on the light switch, but facing a bunch of trials and errors. 

You will get there even when you fall. Believe me, you learn a few steps along the way to love yourself a little more.
